ABOUT OUR CHAMBEr

The Northwest San Antonio Chamber of Commerce's mission is to foster the advancement of commercial, industrial and civic interests that contribute to the growth and development of our members and the business environment in and around the greater Northwest San Antonio area. Our members will accomplish this mission through networking, educational seminars, special events, governmental awareness and involvement in the community.

PAST ACHIEVEMENTS

In support of our Mission Statement, the Northwest San Antonio Chamber of Commerce assisted in the education of residents with man-hours and financially to help the City of Leon Valley get their Economic Development Sales Tax and the Street Maintenance Tax.

This was a community effort with chamber, city and resident participation.

The Leon Valley Economic Development Corporation (LVEDC) was established to assist businesses located in, or relocating to Leon Valley. The LVEDC receives funding from the 1/8 of a penny sales tax, the “4B Economic Development Sales Tax”, passed by voters on November 4, 2008. These monies are currently being distributed through project applications to the LVEDC. The application process and guidelines for grant funding was presented to our Chamber of Commerce on January 13, 2010 and is listed below:
